Ribs that stop blade twist
Raised ribs, the same height on both faces, stop the side-slip and twist that long blades often suffer. The blade holds the water on the down kick and the up kick.

What is the difference between Professional and Standard?
Both use KINUGAWA Super-X rubber, the same 480 mm blade and the same size chart. The difference is hardness. Professional is hard, for a quicker, stronger rebound in strong currents. Standard is soft, for lighter, easier kicks and easier handling. Still unsure? Ask us on LINE.
How do I pick a size?
GULL sizes by the length of GULL 3 mm Mew Boots or Short Mew Boots: S 23 cm · M 24 cm · L 26 cm · XL 27 cm. Between sizes? Ask us on LINE, and you can exchange sizes within 7 days if they are unused and have not been in the water (you cover shipping both ways unless we sent the wrong item or it is faulty).
Is it OK for beginners?
GULL recommends BARRACUDA for expert divers. If you are just starting, GULL MEW is the fin GULL calls easy to use at any level. If you already kick well and want to move up to BARRACUDA, choose the softer Standard, and watch our review above first.
Is the blade shorter on small sizes?
No. GULL gives every size the same 480 mm blade. The foot pocket and overall length change with size, from 745 mm (S) to 795 mm (XL).
How heavy are they to travel with?
Each fin weighs 1,260 g (S) to 1,410 g (XL), measured on black, and is 745–795 mm long. A carrying case comes in the box.
