Where to dive in Thailand, month by month

Thailand's two coasts have their good months and their monsoon months at different times, and several marine national parks close for the monsoon. Check the chart before you plan a dive.

Andaman The Andaman coast takes the southwest monsoon from about mid-May to mid-October, with heavy rain and rough seas peaking in September, so several marine national parks close for it.

Gulf of Thailand The southern Gulf gets the northeast monsoon from mid-October, with heavy rain into December and the most in November; during the southwest monsoon it stays drier than the Andaman side.
