XT Fins

A TPE-blend blade for strong currents, a 12-inch spring strap for quick on and off

XT Fins are Dive Rite's open-heel fin, which the brand calls the top choice for high-performance diving. The TPE-blend blade fins efficiently in strong currents and suits a range of kicks. Dive Rite says they are lighter than traditional rubber fins, which helps prevent cramping on long swims. A stainless steel spring heel strap gets them on and off fast. You wear them with dive boots.

Highlights

One blade, stiff and flexible

An injection-moulded Monoprene blade with a Monoprene centre strip gives both stiffness and flex. Dive Rite designed it for maximum performance with minimum effort, across a range of kicks.

Lighter than rubber, kinder on long swims

According to Dive Rite, XT Fins are lighter than traditional rubber fins, which helps prevent cramping on long swims, and the TPE-blend blade still fins efficiently in strong currents.

12-inch stainless spring strap, quick on and off

A marine-grade stainless steel spring strap holds your heel and lets you put the fins on and take them off fast. A moulded heel pad and low-profile finger holds add comfort and easy handling.

Swivel buckles, two positions

Moulded POM swivel buckles with two adjustment positions make the fit easier to set and the fins easier to put on.

Who it is for

Great for
  • Dives in strong current where you want an efficient fin
  • Divers who switch between different kicks
  • Divers in boots who want a quick on-and-off spring strap
Maybe not for
  • Divers without boots: XT Fins are open-heel, and Dive Rite sizes them for wetsuit boots

FAQ

How do I pick a size?

Dive Rite matches fin size to US shoe size: Small up to men's 6 / women's 7 · Medium 7–9 / 8–10 · Large 10–12 / 11–13 · X-Large 13 and up / 14 and up. The chart assumes wetsuit boots; with oversized drysuit boots, go up one size. Not sure? Ask us on LINE, and you can exchange sizes within 7 days if unused and never in the water (you cover shipping both ways unless we sent the wrong item or it is faulty).

Do I need boots?

Plan on boots. XT Fins hold your heel with a spring strap instead of a closed foot pocket, and Dive Rite sizes them for wear with wetsuit boots.

Why a spring heel strap?

Dive Rite uses a 12-inch marine-grade stainless steel spring strap so you can put the fins on and take them off quickly, with swivel buckles that give two adjustment positions.

How is it different from a rubber fin?

The XT blade is a TPE blend (Monoprene), not rubber. Dive Rite says it is lighter than traditional rubber fins, helping prevent cramping on long swims, while still finning efficiently in strong currents.

Which colours are there?

Five: Black, Blue, Red, OD Green and White, in sizes Small to X-Large. To check a colour and size, ask us on LINE.

How heavy are they to travel with?

Dive Rite lists 1.95 kg (Small) to 2.68 kg (X-Large), without saying whether that is per fin or per pair. Overall length is 57.15–67.31 cm.
