2026-10-16 · 7 min read

The Aqualung i330R and i770R are both wrist dive computers with a colour screen and a rechargeable battery, and both send your dives to the DiverLog+ app. The short answer: the i330R is the one Aqualung aims at advanced divers who travel, with a bright IPS screen, two buttons and up to 3 gases. The i770R is the one Aqualung made for tech-savvy divers. It adds hoseless air integration, so you can see your tank pressure on your wrist, plus a 3-axis digital compass and a third button.

This guide compares the two as Aqualung describes them on its official pages. Prices are the prices on our site on 16 October 2026; the product page always has the latest.

Screen and buttons

Both have colour screens, but different kinds.

  • i330R: an IPS colour screen that Aqualung says reads in all conditions, even direct sunlight, with richer colours and accurate viewing from all angles. You can turn the brightness down to save battery, and a lens protector comes with the computer. Two buttons run the menu.
  • i770R: an ultra-bright TFT colour screen with three buttons, which Aqualung calls intuitive. During the dive a compass bar sits on the main screen.

On both, one button shows your last dive (maximum depth and bottom time), and History mode keeps up to 24 dives.

Battery and charging

Both use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. On the i330R it charges through a magnetic cable that Aqualung says connects quickly and securely. Aqualung gives no hours per charge for either model, so if battery life decides it for you, ask us on LINE before you order.

Dive modes, freediving and nitrox

Both have the same four modes: Air, Nitrox, Gauge and Free Dive. The i330R's Gauge mode has a run timer, and its Free Dive mode keeps tracking calculations, so you can switch between scuba and freediving.

For nitrox, both take 21% to 100% O₂, with PO2 settable from 1.1 to 1.6, and both switch gases underwater. Aqualung states up to 3 gases for the i330R. For the i770R, Aqualung's page gives two different counts, so we leave the number out; ask us on LINE before you plan a multi-gas dive.

The algorithms differ. Aqualung lists ZHL-16 C Sport version for the i330R and Z+ for the i770R, both with gradient factors. Both adjust for altitude automatically and let you choose fresh or salt water. The i330R has deep stops and an adjustable safety stop; the i770R has an optional deep stop with a countdown timer.

Air integration: the i770R and its transmitter

This is the biggest difference. The i770R works with a wireless transmitter on your first stage, so your tank pressure shows on your wrist without a hose, and its Gas Time Remaining algorithm calculates how long your gas will last, in real time. You pair a transmitter once and it stays paired for life, and the i770R works with up to four transmitters on a single dive.

The i770R comes in two versions:

  • Computer only (Black/Grey): no transmitter. Pick it if you already have a transmitter that works with the i770R, or don't use air integration yet.
  • With transmitter (White/Blue, sold as the i770R TX): one blue transmitter in the set, ready to show tank pressure from your first dive.

Also sold on its own:

  • Aqualung Transmitter · ฿12,590: Aqualung lists it for the i450T, i470TC, i750TC and i770R, not the i330R. Aqualung makes the transmitter in two nitrox versions and its page doesn't say which one this is, so if you dive nitrox, ask us on LINE first.

Compass

The i770R has a 3-axis full-tilt digital compass with bearing lock, reciprocal heading, north reference, return bearing lock and declination adjustment. Aqualung lists no compass for the i330R. If you navigate by compass and want it on your wrist, that points to the i770R.

App and Bluetooth

Both connect to the free DiverLog+ app.

  • i330R: Bluetooth 5.0, on iOS and Android. In the app you add location, notes and pictures, manage the computer's advanced settings and share your dives on social media. Software updates download online, with the optional download cable.
  • i770R: Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy. You manage your dive data and settings on your phone, share stats, photos and dive sites on social media, and update the computer's software yourself over Bluetooth.

Alarms and watch functions

The i330R has an audible alarm, plus alarms for max depth, DTR, EDT, max PO2 and N2BG. The i770R has audible alarms with a high-visibility LED warning light, and it switches on when it touches water. On land the i770R also works as a watch, with an alternate time zone, stopwatch, lap timer, daily alarm and countdown timer.

Size, weight and colours

Aqualung's pages give no size or weight for either model. The i330R comes on a nylon NATO strap, and Aqualung describes the i770R as robust, functional and compact, also on a NATO strap. If size on your wrist matters, ask us on LINE.

Colours: the i330R comes in Black or White. On the i770R the colour goes with the version: Computer only is Black/Grey, With transmitter is White/Blue.
