SCUBAPRO

MK25 EVO / A700

Low-effort breathing, from tropical seas to polar ice

SCUBAPRO pairs its MK25 EVO first stage with the A700, a second stage with a metal case, a screw-down cover and a metal valve housing. SCUBAPRO says the system delivers air reliably and with low effort however hard you breathe, however deep you dive and however cold the water. The MK25 EVO responds fast, delivers air the moment you need it and gives extra-high airflow in any water temperature. The metal A700 case fits a larger diaphragm into a compact body. Take it from tropical seas to beneath a polar ice cap. INT (yoke) connection.

Highlights

MK25 EVO: an air-balanced piston for instant air on demand

The MK25 EVO first stage uses an air-balanced piston in a chrome-plated brass body. It delivers air instantly on demand, and the airflow stays constant and effortless whatever your depth, tank pressure or breathing rate. Two opposing HP ports let you mount it facing up or down, five LP ports sit on a swivel turret (four high-flow, one axial super high-flow), and technicians can adjust the intermediate pressure from outside.

A700: a metal case with a larger diaphragm inside

The A700 has a full metal case and a metal valve housing (barrel). The metal case fits a larger diaphragm into a compact casing for more breathing sensitivity. The second-stage valve is air-balanced, with a sectional exhaust tee and a purge SCUBAPRO calls first-rate.

XTIS insulation and anti-freeze protection for cold water

SCUBAPRO's patented XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) insulates the first stage's inner mechanism, improving cold-water resistance and delaying ice formation. Anti-freeze protection adds to it.

Adjust your own breathing, with a wide-bore hose

An inhalation effort knob lets you set the breathing effort yourself, with a coaxial VIVA switch beside it. The mouthpiece is a Compact Hi-Flow, and the super-flow hose has an oversized bore.

Who it is for

Great for
  • Divers who want one regulator from tropical seas to very cold water: SCUBAPRO takes it as far as beneath a polar ice cap
  • Divers who also dive cold water: it has XTIS insulation and anti-freeze protection
  • Divers who want to adjust breathing themselves, with the inhalation effort knob and the VIVA switch
  • Nitrox divers using mixes up to 40%
Maybe not for
  • Divers with DIN tank valves: SCUBAPRO's page lists this system in INT (yoke) only. For DIN, look at the MK25 EVO / A700 Carbon BT, which comes in INT or DIN, or ask us on LINE
  • Divers using nitrox above 40%: SCUBAPRO rates it up to 40%, so ask us on LINE first

FAQ

How does it connect to the tank?

This system is INT (yoke): it clamps onto the tank valve and is secured by a screw knob. SCUBAPRO's page does not list a DIN version of it. If your tanks have DIN valves, look at the MK25 EVO / A700 Carbon BT, which comes in INT or DIN. Not sure? Ask us on LINE.

Can I use it with nitrox?

Yes. SCUBAPRO rates it for nitrox mixes up to 40%.

Can I use it in cold water?

SCUBAPRO says the MK25 EVO performs regardless of how cold the water is, and takes this system from tropical seas to beneath a polar ice cap. The first stage has XTIS insulation, which delays ice formation, plus anti-freeze protection.

How many ports does it have?

Two opposing HP ports and five LP ports on a swivel turret: four high-flow and one axial super high-flow.
