Seaflare Mini

900 lumens in a compact light that brings the reds and yellows back

Even in the shallows, water filters out warm colours, so the underwater scene can look only blue or green. Aqualung says that when you shine a light on it, the reds and yellows of marine life come back, on day dives too. The Seaflare Mini is Aqualung's compact LED dive light, which the brand calls compact with a punch: 900 lumens in a tiny size and weight. Add a blue, yellow, pink or glacier colour ID beam deflector to the head, and your buddies can tell you apart on a night dive. Aqualung's page gives no depth rating, burn time or battery details. Highlights

Bring back the reds and yellows

Aqualung explains that even at shallow depths the water filters out warm colours, so the scene often looks only blue or green. Shine a light on it and what looked blue or green shows its reds and yellows again, by day as well as at night.

Compact with a punch: 900 lumens (per Aqualung)

Aqualung says the Seaflare Mini is compact with a punch, with 900 lumens in a tiny size and weight. Its page gives no size or weight figures.

Colour ID deflectors: buddies know which light is yours

Fit a blue, yellow, pink or glacier colour beam deflector to the head, and other divers can tell you apart at night.

Silicone, glow-in-the-dark, collapsible

The colour deflectors are silicone, glow in the dark and are collapsible. Aqualung says they reduce light pollution without blinding others.

  • Night divers with buddies: with a colour deflector fitted, others can tell which light is yours
Maybe not for

FAQ

Do I need a light on a day dive?

Aqualung explains that even in the shallows the water filters out warm colours, so the scene can look only blue or green. Shine a light and marine life's reds and yellows come back, so a light helps by day as well as at night.

What is in the box? Are the colour deflectors included?

Aqualung's page says you can add the colour deflectors, but it doesn't list what comes in the box. Aqualung's set photo shows the light with four deflectors, a charger holding a battery, a USB cable and a wrist lanyard, without saying they are all included. Ask us on LINE before you order.

How deep is it rated, and how long does the battery last?

Aqualung's page gives no depth rating, burn time, battery type or charging method. Ask us on LINE.

Seaflare Mini or Seaflare: what is the difference?

Aqualung calls the Seaflare Mini compact and lists 900 lumens; the Seaflare page gives no output figure. Both pages describe the same blue, yellow, pink or glacier colour deflectors. Still deciding? Ask us on LINE.
