Over-balanced first stage, ports in a T
The first stage is over-balanced, with a balanced diaphragm that Aqualung says gives superior and consistent performance. Two HP ports and four MP ports are set in a T shape for streamlined hose positioning.
Balanced first and second stages, designed and made in France
Helix Pro is Aqualung's mid-range regulator, part of its core range. Both the first and second stages are balanced, which Aqualung says gives superior breathing performance. The first stage has Aqualung's patented Auto Closure Device (ACD), which keeps it fully protected even when it is not under pressure, for durability. The second stage has a Venturi switch and a heat exchanger, and the braided hose is flexible, comfortable and easy to travel with. Aqualung designs it for the years ahead and calls for a service every 2 years for optimal performance. Designed and made in France.

When the regulator is off the cylinder valve, the ACD keeps the inlet shut, so debris and corrosive water stay away from the internal parts. It helps maintain oxygen compatibility, preserve the internal lubrication and keep the inlet filter clean and dry. The first stage also has a permanent dry chamber and a dust cap.
The second stage is pneumatically balanced, with a Venturi adjustment switch (MIN / MAX). Opening channels in the cover reduce cracking effort by 20%, according to Aqualung, and there is a heat exchanger.
It comes with a Comfo-Bite mouthpiece and a lip shield. The mouthpiece is interchangeable and held by a reusable clip. The braided hose gives flexibility, comfort and easy transport.
Aqualung marks Helix Pro for cold and warm water. The first stage has a permanent dry chamber, and the second stage has a heat exchanger.
It is how the first stage connects to the tank valve, so match the valves you dive with. Aqualung lists the first stage at 525 g (19 oz) in DIN and 740 g (26 oz) in INT (yoke), with a maximum working pressure of 300 bar in DIN and 232 bar in yoke. Not sure? Ask us on LINE.
Aqualung says it is serviced every 2 years for optimal performance. For questions about servicing, ask us on LINE.
Aqualung's page lists one adjustment on the second stage: the Venturi switch, with MIN and MAX settings. If you want finer control of the breathing resistance, Aqualung says the Leg3nd Elite has independent micro-adjustments; ask us on LINE.
Aqualung lists it as compatible up to 40% O₂ when new, out of the box (21% in Europe). Planning to dive nitrox? Ask us first.
Aqualung does not name a skill level, but calls Helix Pro the mid-range regulator in its core range, and the only second-stage control it lists is the Venturi switch. Just starting and not sure which one to pick? Ask us on LINE.
