A travel-ready first stage
Aqualung made the first stage travel-ready, with reduced size and weight. It is over-balanced (Aqualung also calls it auto-balanced), with a balanced diaphragm. Two HP ports and four MP ports are set in a T shape.
The regulator Aqualung calls its smallest and most compact, ready to travel
Aqualung calls the Helix Compact Pro the smallest and most compact regulator it has ever produced. It is made for divers who travel often and pack light, and designed equally for warm and cold water. The over-balanced first stage is travel-ready, with reduced size and weight, an Auto Closure Device (ACD) and a permanent dry chamber. The balanced second stage is compact, which Aqualung calls ideal for smaller faces, such as those of women and younger divers. You can tune your breathing two ways: a Venturi switch and a cracking-effort adjustment. Aqualung lists a work of breathing of 1.35 J/L. Designed and made in France.

The first stage has an Auto Closure Device (ACD) and a dust cap. Its permanent dry chamber, Aqualung says, improves overall freeze resistance in cold water. Aqualung designed this model equally for warm and cold water, and the second stage has a heat exchanger.
Aqualung says the compact second stage is ideal for smaller faces, such as those of women and younger divers: it doesn't obstruct their field of vision and reduces fatigue when held in the mouth during long dives.
The Venturi switch has MIN and MAX settings and works even while you wear gloves. The cracking-effort adjustment fine-tunes your breathing for different diving conditions. The second stage is pneumatically balanced, and opening channels in the cover reduce cracking effort by 20%, according to Aqualung.
It comes with a Comfo-Bite mouthpiece and a lip shield. The mouthpiece is interchangeable and held by a reusable clip, and the hose is braided.
It is how the first stage connects to the tank valve, so match the valves you dive with. Aqualung lists the first stage at 525 g (19 oz) in DIN and 740 g (26 oz) in INT (yoke), with a maximum working pressure of 300 bar in DIN and 232 bar in yoke. Not sure? Ask us on LINE.
Aqualung calls the Helix Compact Pro the smallest and most compact regulator it has made. Its second stage is compact, for smaller faces, and it adds a cracking-effort adjustment to the Venturi switch, while Aqualung's Helix Pro page lists only the Venturi switch on the second stage. Aqualung gives the same first-stage weights for both. Still deciding? Ask us on LINE.
Two things: the Venturi switch, with MIN and MAX settings you can use even in gloves, and the cracking-effort adjustment, which Aqualung says fine-tunes breathing for different diving conditions.
Aqualung lists it as compatible up to 40% O₂ when new, out of the box (21% in Europe). Planning to dive nitrox? Ask us first.
Aqualung does not name a skill level. The second stage has two controls, the Venturi switch and the cracking-effort adjustment. Just starting and not sure how to set them, or which regulator to pick? Ask us on LINE.
