Two valves keep water out
If a wave breaks over the snorkel, the upper valve sends most of the water out before it reaches the mouthpiece. Any water that gets past it drains through the lower valve.
Two valves keep water out; the flex section drops away when not in use
Impulse Classic Flex belongs to Aqualung's Impulse snorkel line, which Aqualung introduced in 1989. Two valves keep water out. If a wave breaks over the snorkel, the upper valve sends most of the water out before it reaches the mouthpiece, and any water that gets past drains through the lower valve. Clearing the reservoir below the mouthpiece takes a gentle puff. The flex section is easy to position and drops away when you are not using it. Want the same two valves without the flex section? There is a reservoir below the mouthpiece, and clearing it takes just a gentle puff.
The flex section above the mouthpiece is easy to position and drops away when you are not using it. This is the difference from Aqualung Impulse Classic, which has the same two valves but no flex section.
Both have the two valves that keep water out, and on both a gentle puff clears the reservoir below the mouthpiece. Impulse Classic Flex adds a flex section that is easy to position and drops away when not in use; Impulse Classic has none. Still unsure? Ask us on LINE.

Two. Aqualung lists them by code; we name them from the photos: Black (all black) and Blue (blue tube, with a clear flex section and clear mouthpiece in the photo).
