A jacket that holds you snug and keeps you upright
Axiom Men's is Aqualung's jacket BCD with integrated weights. Inside, the Wrapture harness, with Aqualung's patented swivel shoulder buckles and an ultra-thin back plate, holds the BCD snug so it doesn't ride up on the surface. It keeps the tank close to your centre of gravity and moves the weight to your hips, so you stand up straight. Aqualung says it supports you for easy trim and no rolling underwater. The weight pockets lock into SureLock II with an audible click and come out with one smooth pull. Up top: a rolled neck collar, a pull-down oral inflator and an extra pull dump on the right shoulder.

The weight pockets lock into SureLock II with an audible click, and one smooth pull takes them out when you need to drop them.
Swivelling buckles turn to follow the shape of your torso. The GripLock tank band closes with a finger-saving metal buckle.
The Bladder Retraction System keeps you streamlined, and Aqualung says it also reduces air consumption. The valves are smooth and flat, and there is an extra pull dump on the right shoulder.
A rolled collar sits around your neck, the oral inflator pulls down, and if you like, you can route your instruments behind the left pocket.

Both are Aqualung jacket BCDs with the Wrapture inner harness, SureLock II integrated weights and the GripLock tank band. The difference is how you inflate and vent. The Axiom i3+ has the i3+ system: one side lever that inflates when you pull it up and opens all the exhaust valves when you push it down. The Axiom has no i3+ lever; it has a pull-down oral inflator and an extra pull dump on the right shoulder. The Axiom i3+ page also lists ditchable weight; the Axiom page does not. Still deciding?
