Cut for women, easy on the hips
The shorter shape and scalloped sides take pressure off the hips and give a comfortable fit for the female shape and a shorter torso.
One lever for buoyancy, in a cut made for women
Axiom i3+ Women's is Aqualung's jacket BCD with integrated weights and the i3+ system, which Aqualung says is exclusive to its BCDs. One simple side lever handles your buoyancy: pull it up to inflate, push it down to open all the exhaust valves and vent without changing your body position. The women's cut is shorter, with scalloped sides that take pressure off the hips and fit a shorter torso. Inside, the ultra-thin Wrapture harness holds the BCD snug so it doesn't ride up, and keeps the tank close to your centre of gravity. The weight pockets lock into the SureLock II system with an audible click and come out with one smooth pull.

Aqualung says the i3+ system is exclusive to its BCDs. It puts inflation and all the exhaust valves on one simple side lever. Pull up to inflate in small or large bursts; push down to open all the exhaust valves and vent without adjusting your body position.
The ultra-thin Wrapture inner harness fixes the BCD snug to your body so it doesn't ride up in the water. It spreads the weight evenly by holding the tank closer to your centre of gravity, so you can stand and walk upright with ease.
The weight pockets lock into SureLock II with an audible click and come out with one smooth pull. Aqualung lists 9 kg (20 lb) of ditchable weight for sizes XS–ML.
Swivelling buckles turn by themselves to follow the shape of your torso. The GripLock tank band closes with a finger-saving metal buckle.
The Bladder Retraction System keeps you streamlined and reduces drag, and Aqualung says it also reduces air consumption. There are two zipped pockets.
This page has no size choice yet, and we don't have Aqualung's size chart for this model. Send us your height, body weight and chest size on LINE and we'll help you pick. You can exchange sizes within 7 days if unused and never in the water (you cover shipping both ways unless we sent the wrong item or it is faulty).
The i3+ system, the Wrapture harness and the SureLock II integrated weights are the same. The difference is the shape: the women's model is shorter, with scalloped sides that Aqualung says take pressure off the hips and fit a shorter torso.
The photos here are Aqualung's product shots, the same set as the men's model, so they may not show the shorter shape and scalloped sides. Want to know how the cut differs? Ask us on LINE.
Aqualung lists 9 kg (20 lb) of ditchable weight for sizes XS–ML. Its page does not give a lift figure; if you need it before you order, ask us on LINE.
Aqualung does not name a skill level. What it does say is that inflating and venting sit on one lever, and the Wrapture harness holds the BCD snug. Just starting and not sure which type to pick? Ask us on LINE.
