Hydros Pro 2 is SCUBAPRO's second-generation back-inflated BCD, which SCUBAPRO says builds on the award-winning original Hydros Pro. It brings an all-new Monorail weight system, a heavy-duty quick-dry bladder, the lightweight Ergo-Lite back plate and the new Super Cinch 2 tank band. It is modular, made of premium materials and ready to travel. According to SCUBAPRO, it is engineered for divers who demand the best, in all dive conditions. The pockets slide in along the rail and lock, with one hand; pull the grey D-handle to release them. The Standard pockets in the box hold up to 4.5 kg (10 lb) each and drain themselves. Mini pockets are sold separately.
Instant Dry Technology means the bladder holds less water, so the BCD weighs less after the dive. The double-coated fabric resists abrasion and fading from pool chemicals, saltwater and sunlight, with Cordura® on the dorsal weight-wing. Tri-bungee retraction with two-stage inflation keeps it streamlined underwater and, SCUBAPRO says, gives higher lift at the surface. The BCD has near-zero inherent buoyancy.
The Ergo-Lite back plate is 25% lighter than the Hydros Pro's, contoured to your back, softly padded, with handles top and bottom. The fabric-free Monprene® gel harness has shoulder straps that lock open for donning, a torso flex zone that adjusts to your torso length, and body grip gel that stops the BCD shifting and riding up.
Smart-Pack folds the straps flat and wraps them in the wing; SCUBAPRO gives the folded size as 58 × 28 × 14 cm (23 × 11 × 5.5 in). The Super Cinch 2 tank band makes quick tank switches, from aluminium 80s to steel. The BC-4-Life modular design has 8 D-rings and Multi-Mount System mounting points (accessory plates and bungee sets sold separately).

The BPI inflator is the standard fit in SCUBAPRO's spec list, and the one named in its in-the-box list.
Air2 in place of the BPI. On its Hydros X page, SCUBAPRO describes Air2 as a backup regulator and the BCD's buoyancy controls in one unit.
XS, S, M, L and XL/2XL, in every colour and with either inflator. SCUBAPRO lists a 66–97 cm (26–38 in) cummerbund, 15.9 kg (35 lb) of lift and a weight of 3.8 kg (8.378 lb), but does not say which size these numbers are for.
