CANAL DRY SP

A simple, standard snorkel for skin and scuba diving

CANAL DRY SP pairs a simple form with careful detail, and GULL calls it a great choice as a standard snorkel for skin and scuba diving. It has the same rigid, stress-reducing design as CANAL STABLE, with a more conventional purge valve. The dry-upper top keeps splashes out, and the 47 mm mouthpiece is shaped to fit your upper and lower teeth. It is 436 mm long (measured as worn, with the bellows bent) and weighs 135 g.

Highlights

Dry-upper top

The dry-upper design stops splashes from getting in at the top of the snorkel.

Stabilizer pipe that stays put

The streamlined tube cuts vibration and the discomfort of a tube that shifts around while you swim.

18 mm pipe for easy breathing

The pipe wall and its 18 mm bore are designed for relaxed, easy breathing.

Bends to fit, drains smoothly

Corrugations on the inside of the curve let the tube bend so the mouthpiece sits comfortably. The opposite wall is smooth, so water drains away easily.

Mouthpiece shaped for your teeth

The upper and lower grips differ to fit the shape of your upper and lower teeth. GULL says most users don't tire, and after hours you hardly notice you are gripping it.

One Touch Clip

Squeeze either side of the clip on the mask strap to attach or detach the snorkel.

Size, in GULL's drawing

GULL's drawing: 436 mm long (measured as worn, with the bellows bent) and a 47 mm mouthpiece.

Who it is for

  • Skin and scuba divers who want a simple, standard snorkel
  • Divers who want a tube that doesn't shudder or shift while they swim
  • Divers who want to clip the snorkel on and off the mask strap easily
Maybe not for
  • Anyone who wants a large purge chamber that keeps the air path open with water in the tube: see CANAL STABLE
